eggwoman - a little bit out there

Hi, I'm Nicole. I've been writing since I was 5 years old and weirdly, I’ve stuck with it. Not only that, I’ve made a career out of it. This used to be my biggest, boldest dream and now I’m living it. I still get random bursts of joy when I think about that sometimes.

When I first started this newsletter in 2019, it was all about growing up and beyond. I was still figuring out who I was, who I wanted to connect with, and what my life should look like. And well, while of course, everything is ever-changing, I’m pretty secure in who I am now, and especially since birthing my two little girls, feel pretty grown into myself: A mother. A writer. A runner. A potter. A bit of a hippie. Certainly, a rebel.

I think there’s immense beauty in figuring yourself out.

I like to observe. I’m interested in beings, their thoughts, how they feel about deep, philosophical, ugly things, and how that shapes the world they build for themselves. I don’t feel like we share enough of that with each other. At least not in its purest and rawest form, the one I find the most fascinating—unedited, unfiltered, maybe not thought all the way through, sometimes totally wrong.

So this little piece of the internet that will hit your inbox occasionally is my commitment to do just that—to share some of that fringy, undercooked, kind of out there, but always from-the-heart writing that I wish we’d all read and write more of.

Real. Biased. With lots of passion. Charming, but demanding.

OK. But why should I read this?

Because it'll make you feel something (it won't always be pleasant). Because it'll make you ask yourself the hard questions. Because it'll get you to discuss all kinds of weird stuff with your friends, foes, with yourself at 2 AM when you can’t sleep or when the blunt hits just right.
